Not sure what the contents were. Strange thing is, the embossing is a mirror image. I tried to look through the reverse to read it, but the shape made it impossible. Finally just held it up to a mirror:

DELUCA
Reg. Pat.
2 OZ.

Any info appreciated. Can't find anything on the company.

Add: Sorry, I meant to put this is the Digging Forum.

Maybe with liquid contents it would have refracted differently and you could read from the other panels? Only bottle like that i know is pinch whisky

That's a strange one. Reminds me of some of the shoe polish bottles or even a little olive oil bottle. Is there any marking on the base?

Yes, the base has the "DELUCA" logo like the main one, with the oversized "D." Sorry 'bout that base pic. It had a disgusting yellow liquid in it, and rusted top that came off with a little elbow grease. The 2oz quantity is curious. The number "2" looks very 19th century, which is too early for this bottle, I would think.

I'll try to take a pic from the reverse. Like Rickmarbles said, with liquid it might be legible.
