Actually Dr. Ellis Wave Set was quite popular back in the day, I found one very similar to the one you found this last summer. I also picked up a paper label one that can be seen in this picture.

I also found a couple Wave Set bottles last summer. Does yours have the comb embossing? ("Dip your comb in the bottle")
