So the yard sales have not been that great this year, but there was one last week that advertised old bottles, so I arrived an hour early to find a picnic table full of screw top milk o mags and federal law forbids booze bottles, the typical yard sale stuff along with a closed garage door. I pretended to look at the junk outside and they opened the door. More of the same. boxes and crates full of dusty stuff mostly worthy of the recycling bin. I did find a somewhat rare local milk (Crystal Springs Milk Co Ravenna, O) and this Fisch bitters which I at first passed by because they are mostly all repros. I took a second look and it looks like the real deal to me. It is 11.5" tall, has a nice applied top and plenty of base wear and the glass just has more of a 19th century look to me. Unfortunately, it also has 2 very nasty chips at the base, but for $2 I can't complain. The milk has a lip bruise. Of course all the junkers were near perfect.
