Greetings and Happy Holidays!
Just got home after a semi-decent dig, one Denver pharm, and a few of the usual commons.
Did manage one cool bottle, clear, withe the embossing "Dr. Pengelly's Woman's Friend, Improved"
From Kalamazoo Mich.
I know he had some connection with the "Zoa-Phora" bottle, but this is different.
I'll try and show some photos soon, it's soaking right now.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Carl

In 1874 Richard Pengelly and Charles H Chamberlin registered a trademark for Pengelly's Womans Friend. They were in Saugatuck Mich at the time. I think that is the precurser to your medicine.

An article from 1907.
The quack Pengelly seemed proud of cheating thousands of customers over 30 years.
Even more ironic since he was selling alcohol as a medicine while at the same time lobbying as a prohibitionist
Makes you wonder why it took so long for the F&D Act to happen.

Carl,
I believe the folks in the K-Zoo club dig them, occasionally.
I know that I don't have one and would be willing to trade something decent for it.

Hey guys, thanks for all the input and info, still trying to track this one down.
Here are some better pictures, the bottle is about 8 1/2" tall, and 2 3/4" wide, square.
I see no lines running up the seam of the neck, may have been wiped.
The bottom is not pontiled, just a slight round indent.
