Bottle reads, Rivermont Dairy Lynchburg Virginia pure milk phone 1742. Any info would be helpful. First time i have seen this one.

I would venture it's a 30s-40s milk bottle. The major drawback of researching them is due to the fact that almost every county had many dairies and it would have been a superhuman task to document them all. However, you can check with your local historical society or town historian.

Slugplate gave good advice.

Any faint numbers on the bottom? Most milks have a 2 digit date code on the bottom somewhere. Usually very faint. Also you may check the old city directories at your local library if they have them.
