Dug a No Parking sign today! My 2nd ever sign!

Just found a new dump area that looks killer and I see this odd object sticking out and low and behold it's a nice old sign!

I'm guessing it's 50s? Looks enameled and is made of super heavy embossed cast metal.

never seen a no parking sign like that before , agree with 50's era ,

likely from when cars would of been common enough to need to enforce parking rules so around 40's > 50's

That's a really nice find! Don't see a lot of embossed enamel signs. Was the NO added onto what was originally just a PARKING sign?

I'm thinking that the NO may have been added. I've not yet seen a particular sign like this one yet.

I'm pretty certain that is not enameled. Just a good outdoor paint.

You could be right, but it looks like it has some sort of thin enamel coat, but it could just be paint. The NO part is faded since it is actually just a painted tin plate that was screwed on. Still a cool sign either way!
