Ok. You're in the woods in the middle of nowhere digging for some old beer bottles because you collect such "trash". And then there's some guy who is dragging out the scrap steel and making $100+ cash a day. Now who's the crazy one? Just imagine the stories he is telling his buddies! "Yeah... This guys collecting all those beer bottles we threw out last year! Bustin' his butt and digging these deep holes. Man! What a crack-pot!"

Most of these guys just don't want a real job and are content to let you be if you let them do their thing. Yes. Protection is always good, but it's kind of hard to have the upper hand when you're standing in a hole no matter what you're packing. Use the buddy system for these spots.

And for diginit - stick w/ the AK for your sites. You can throw it in the sludge and still fire it. The AR just has too tight of clearances. That's why all those friendly Taliban use them over in the sandbox. The AK might look cool and is certainly a quality built gun, but I'd rather have one that looks like a piece of junk (AR) and fires when I need it.

Dave, I think you got your AR's and AK's mixed up. You drinking Tequila too? My AK can fire ever if dropped in the sand. My AR.. Doubtful. My 1911 is holstered and doesn't get dirty. Either way, I can defend myself from crackhead scrappers.

But I know how and when to use them...Not everyone should carry arm unless trained on their use.
