Here is an early embossed RC soda. It has a debossed RC on the shoulder and PROPERTY OF NEHI BOTTLING CO around the base. The base is embossed CONTENTS 12 FL OZ 3R*.
There are some oddities with this one. First the fact that it's embossed. All the others I've seen are acls. The 3R* indicates it was made by the Three Rivers Glass Company in Three Rivers, Texas. They are not known to have produced any acl bottles. 2nd, some of the acls I've seen also feature a debossed RC, but in a debossed triangle.
Based on my research and limited experience, I'm guessing this predates the acls and may be one of the first RC soda bottles. RC dates to the early 1930s. Are there any big RC collectors on the forum? I'd like to hear the thoughts of someone more knowledgeable.
