Does anyone know anything about this large beer bottle.

Brewery ?
Age ?
Crisp embossing on two sides with the word: "EDMONTON" (in an arc) over the word "BEER"
"5" embossed on heel (Maker's Mark ?)
Machine made.
Quart size.
3 & 1/8" Diameter
11 & 1/2" Tall

Apparently it is the only known embossed Alberta beer (?).

Nice one! I'll take your word for it being the only embossed Alberta beer, I can't remember ever seeing another. Calgary Brewing and Malting had embossed bottles but I think they were all sodas. As for age it should date to the 1910s or 20s. No clue on who brewed it.

can't recall ever seeing this one before

i'd imagine its from Edmonton Alberta , its a fairly unique name , aren't any other Edmonton's that I know of .

the size and look would for sure be for beer , it likely would of also had a paper label on it with more info
