Hi, everyone, an old friend, 90yrs young, gave me a bottle yesterday I have never seen. I am sure some of you experienced collectors have likely seen it. The only reference I have been able to find on it is one exactly like mine being offered on eBay, buy it now for $499.99 U.S. My bottle looks better than his but I just don't think it's worth that much money. I would love to hear opinions from anyone who is familiar with this bottle as to its rarity and value. I think it is a very good bottle and I am proud to have it. The bottle is marked L.G.W. 23 for Laurens Glass Works, Probably the South Carolina Plant.

Typically Coke Bottles like this did not Contain Coca Cola & was some other Flavor possibly for another company. Typically these type of Coke Bottles do not have much value or desirability. Maybe $10-$30 Value but just my opinion. I'm sure others will vary. LEON.

LEON is correct. The biggest mistake newbies make is doing research and not excluding ebay. When you do a search add -ebay to the search you type in. It has to have the minus sign in front or it won't exclude ebay.
When you do this you won't get as many of the psychotic ebay sellers who are trying to find suckers. The vast majority of ebay listings using BUY IT NOW are a joke when addressing collectibles. As a rule of thumb discount anything found through ebay. Some will argue that the search through ebays completed auctions are valid. Even those can be and sometimes are manipulated by a devious seller and a cohort. ebay pays millions of dollars to have GOOGLE include all of their listings in their search and to place the result at the top. Very biased. If you are only interested in value of a bottle then i will give you a bit of advice. Collect money in your savings account. Only an infinitesimal number of people place value on a bottle. Silicon (glass) is the 8th most common in the universe. Bottles are nothing to nearly everyone in the world.
