Hi fellow diggers and divers, I scored this aqua beauty on my last dive of the season and to think it was just laying on the bottom, no digging required. I would love to tell you the name on the bottle and I'm sure someone here will recognize it but I'm just uploading the pics. I know it is a proprietor out of No. 217 Front Street, New YorkI love the ringed neck, fluted sides and huge pontil :)

I don't know anything about it but for a sauce bottle its pretty unusual and neat to look at . I like the colour and fact it says its from New York on bottle

Was this a creek/river dive? Or a lake dive? I wish the pictures were larger. From what I can see it looks outstanding!

Hi Lordbud, This was a river bottom find. I also got a quart shoo-fly flask in aqua and the largest pickle to date at 12+ inches tall, too bad a quarter of the lip was gone :(

Very nice! I have the same OP bottle but with no embossing. After seeing this post, I had to take a close look at mine to see if there is any ghost embossing. None that I can see.

That is definitely a Pepper Sauce from the 1840 era and a very nice one at that. I've seen a lot more unlettered ones than with names. So called Pepper Sauce bottles occasionally contained something other than actual Pepper Sauce but that's the name they go by IMHO. Jim
