Green glass suspension insulators are being used to replace gray porcelain that has leakage issues on the 500 KV Pacific Intertie. There were strings of then laying on the ground, complete with new "bowtie" corona shields, at the place where we hunt mule deer this past Oct. Helicopter are used to replace them and have been for 20 years.
