I am sorry but I see a green pepper design on the front. I am thinking pickled peppers possibly in the pontiled green poop on.

This bottle should have a AG monogram on the bottom. It is french and the name was Alfred Gounelle(Zumwalts pg 163)I have several sizes and I believe these held Cornichons which are really small Pickles which are grown in the southwest of France in the Garonne Valley'.These small pickles only grow to about 1 1/2 inch long and maybe 1/2 inch thick. I have seen but not owned a barrel shaped green bottle that screams pickle.
ORIGINAL: cyberdigger

I could see chutney or relish in there too.. the design on the front looks rather like a pickle to me. I wouldn't mind having one of those bottles in my fancy condiments collection..!

Found this great looking jar recently. Figure too small for pickles, seems a little large for mustard, but is my best guess. Any info anyone?

I found few days ago a barrel shaped bottle which has the same green color glas, neck and finish.
