One of my favorite Milk Bottles from Michigan. From the Historic well known Octagon House. Famous House in Detroit area. Was known to have hidden tunnels under House to move Slaves in the 1860's. Underground Railroad I think it was called. Very Rare Desirable Milk Bottle. LEON.

I love the name. There was a building craze of 8-sised houses in the 1850s. All started because of a book that said this style promoted healthier living.* There are still several of these houses in my area.
*- Btw, most agree that it didn't and living in them was weird.

Hi Leon, et al!
The Andrus House with that spiral staircase and Italianate extras is slightly fancier than our Octagons. Some of which have a stucco exterior. In any case, the Andrus House looks great and "Pure Mich." Nice Wiki article and thanks for sharing. --CT Len

PS- Anyone else out there have one in their area built post 1860? (None here that I know of.) --L
