Here's a good selling tactic:

Use and old outdated price guide.
Price your damaged item above what the market would pay for a VVNM example. (It's more like the whole tip an them some is missing)
Be rude in you listing.

CD 109.5 Glass Harloe
Chipped ear otherwise VNM See pics
Aqua SB
F-Skirt embossing Harloe's Patent/Mar 21,'99/Mar 12,'01/Dec 9,'02/P.I.
McDougald's price quide indicates
that this insulator is worth much more than the asking price. What good is
all the research that goes into a price guide if it can not be believed or followed.
Hopefully the nay sayers will not show up.

Theres no way I'd spend that kind of money on a bottle or insulator. Don't care if its in perfect shape. [:D]

Pet peeve: selling an item and having horrid spelling. Show yourself and your potential buyer some respect by spelling correctly. It takes 30sec to look up the spelling of a word.

pet peeve: stating how much the item is valued at on eBay/xxxx price guide/xxx appraisal guide. Repeatedly quoting prices of other sites/books and trying to head off the "nay sayers" is pretty indicative that the person knows that he/she is trying to pull one over.

It's obvious this guy is not a bottle person. Nor collectibles item person. He's a wool seller.
