Haven’t been digging much. I’ve been busy opening up our shore house and my 1900s dump a)seems tapped out and b)getting overrun with weeds now and people, since it’s a park.
So went today with low expectations but found a few interesting bottles. A nice local TREP milk in great condition, a 28 oz S. Balish and sons Summit NJ soda or beer. Anyone seen this before? I can’t find anything other than a newspaper reference to the company. I think it was soda?? No idea. Also got an intact one quart hazel atlas ribbed jug. I’m thinking it was syrup bottle 1930s??
Experts please weigh in. Especially interested in the 28 oz embossed soda/beer.

Nice find on those locals! Can't help with info on those particular ones unfortunately. As for the bottle with the handle I suspect it was vinegar.

I think you’re right re the vinegar. I have some Heinz #211 bottles and some old A&P tea company large bottles which are vinegar bottles and have the same fluting/panels.
