First bottle dive of 2012

Well I finally got out after a 3 month remodel of my house, nothing spectacular and after years of taking only the good stuff I have decided to give back to my favorite river sites by spending the first dive of each day by hauling up all of the busted stuff my son and I can grab. We have built containers with lift bags on them and we get 2-300 lbs of glass each occasion. It is enough to fill 2-30 gallon poly drums. I was alone today and only brought up 30lbs of trash. This bottle was found as usual on my last 1,000psi of air, it looked so good until I saw the cracked off bottom with a nice pontil

I have a bottle like the one you've shown....Maybe there's more pontils waiting on the next dive....That's a lot of broken glass....Good job,...the clay pipes are always cool too.

i like to find bottles in the water as well , but have not always found that much over the years . went for a swim today as its a heatwave here and found no bottles but did find some fishing lures and one nice one that goes for $5 at bait shop . but have some better locations in mind for rest of summer so might find some better stuff .

Itching for my first bottle dive of 2012. That will occur this Sunday or Monday. Then it is two weeks of bottle diving in Downeast Maine! []

As always I look forward to your downeast recoveries Alan. I don't make it up to Maine much but thats ok as there is plenty in NH, VT and Mass.
