I picked up an entire box of bottles over the weekend for $20! There some goodies in here like the Brown Boy and this Colonial Ginger Ale with a train on it! Anybody know about that one? No town listed. Looks early - lots of air bubbles.

L-R Holberg hutch - Mobile, AL (will clean up nice)
Brown Boy - no town
Hap-ee - Meridian, MS
Colonial Ginger Ale - no town
Lime Cola - Mobile, AL
Phoenix - Mobile, AL
couple of medicines from Mobile, AL

Wonka ~

You always find the coolest bottles and the best deals. I always enjoy seeing them. You must have about a jillion bottles now! Or is it two jillion?

I took a quick look around and found the following regarding your Colonial Ginger Ale ...

The first link is from a 1905-06 listing and shows a reference to Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The second link is to a 1904 American Carbonator/Bottler magazine with numerous pages. There is supposed to be a reference and/or ad for a Colonial Ginger Ale of Alabama, but I haven't been able to find it yet. (I don't have the time at the moment to scroll through every page). But because of the way I conducted the search, I believe the reference will be highlighted in yellow.

I apologize for the long links - I need to learn how to shorten them.

I hope this helps.

Bob

I have a 1920 National Bottler's Gazette ad for Colonial Ginger Ale from Spartanburg. I believe I have an earlier one from the Southern Carbonator and Bottler. It's a neat bottle that I see occasionally at a show.

I'm packing for my fifth show in four weeks (I will have hunted bottles in eleven states in four weeks time when I get home Sunday). I will have lots of time next week to track these down after knee surgery on Monday.

If you don't hear back from me by Wednesday send the dogs.
