So this big guy was just laying on top of the giant Sylvania grass that washed up onto the bank after the water receded! I'd never seen one like this and can't really find one during a brief search?? I found another RC 1 liter under a house a few months back, or at least that's what the lid said, the label was gone, but this one has it embossed, just curious about an age,

I'm no expert but the stippling (bumps near the rim) on the base of the bottle appears to be machine oriented. Stippling in general is a relatively new invention on bottles as they really only started appearing during the Art-Deco era. Machine stippling started showing up in the late 30s and overtook hand-laid stippling in the late 40s. Either way since the bottle is without a doubt machine-made it's no earlier than 1930 I'd say. Truth be told, it's probably a 50s or 60s era piece.

It'll definitely be newer than that since it's a screw top. They didn't figure out how to use aluminum screw tops for carbonated drinks until pretty late in the glass pop bottle era. I think they introduced those around the early-mid 1970s or so, and mostly phased them out sometime in the 80s, although there are some smaller brands which use the same basic design today.
