yes one is a canada dry orange , another is a mystery can going to post it later , couple of them are too rusted to see anything at all

clean the rust in acid dip & you may see what the other mystery cans are? Good luck. Leon.

just realised i found part of another local bottle there yesterday , wasn't sure what it was until i looked at a picture of a complete one but for sure what it is , this dump just seems to have stuff from all over

its the bottom part of a Credit Valley Beverages clear acl bottle from Georgetown Ontario . pretty sure i've never found anything from this bottler in the wild before as its a long way from here . although have posted about them in the soda section and have some embossed bottles but not acl

went back last weekend but with a different strategy , decided to focus on finding metal items as dump seems to have more neat metal things than anything else

found some rusted pots , modern golf ball despite not being near a golf course , " Ford " hub cap rusted badly , trailmobile sign

a couple broken sodas , mountain dew , 7 up , nu grape , pepsi

7 cans , 1 pull top beer unidentifable , 6 flat top soda , could only id 3 , 2 are sprite and 1 is grand prix red in colour so cream soda or cola

beside it in the last picture is a lemon lime grand prix flat top can i found in a another dump last week , it still has alot of original colour

I found a dump when walking around an old mill area here in New York. I looked up the side of the slope above the mill area and saw some large appliances, and thought, "Hmm, looks like people used some place up there for a dump". I went back later and walked up the hill to find what had clearly been a trash dump, so of course, I started digging :) I ended up going there MANY times and probably had about 600 bottles and jars at one point, but got rid of most clear glass jars and uninteresting bottles. One day when I went to dig, the rain had eroded out an old ceramic jug in perfect condition, it was just lying upright on top of the excavation pit! (I guess it's possible someone knew I collected there and just left it for me as a nice gesture :) ) On another visit, a cement truck had dumped their excess load over the side of the hill and buried my excavation area, so I never went back. However, there was an area to the side I believe has high potential and I MAY go back some day, but I don't have room in my basement for any more bottles :) The bottles and other things I found there range from late 1800's to possibly 1950's.

Did you ever soak any of those flat tops in lemon juice/citric acid? Most of them look like they should clean up decently, at least to the point of legibility.

no i still have them in the garage , in a dry area for time being

haven't been back to that dump either , its south of where i live and haven't had any other reasons to be in that area so haven't been back at that dump for a few weeks , when i was there last was no bugs or plants out yet , there both out now so harder to see stuff so not sure when i would go back
