Found this - cant ID it. Carved brick tile?

I dug a ceramic tile one with floral decorations, pretty cool. But this is made of red brick. Any help would be great

Real thick and heavy, not thin like a normal tile

I'd think around a fireplace or kitchen stove. Is the back glazed? It looks like the sides are.

Looks like architectural terra cotta to me. Nice. There's an old bank building in the town across the river here that's glazed a very light grey with fine cobalt splattering.
