Bought this from an antique store because the bottom was unusual for mineral finish bottle. I’ve only seen so many pontil bottles in person but this one has a kick up base but it’s definitely made with a mold and not a turn mold. Any guesses to the age would be appreciated.

I thought it was a pontil scar when I felt it but have never held a bottle with a sand pontil scar or viewed one in person. My fear is the bottle is an import from England would could make it not nearly as old.

I think it's probably a 3-piece mold ale bottle. Is that a "sand" pontil scar? The bottle dates to roughly 1850.

It looks similar to black glass ive dug that I would date to 1870s/1880s based on what else I've found in the hole. I bring them all home to clean out the base and hope for pontil. I've read some about sand pontils but don't have any hands on verified experience with them. I hear they have a sand papery feel.

It IS a British bottle -- many, many of these were imported in the 1850s because the Brits were far more productive at bottle-making than the USA. A "sand" pontil will shred your fingernail.

This definitely won’t do that. It is an unlevel bottle though which makes me think it is some type of pontil one given the circular indentation in the heel between the base and that small circle that kicks up into the bottle.
