I dug this last year at one of my dump sites commemorating George Washington's 200th birthday 1732-1932. It was sold by A&P as an olive oil container in 1932. It's not a scare, rare or unique bottle, but it does have a bust of our first elected president and, being the patriot I am, I had to give him an honorable home. :D

That's a pretty cool find for a bottle from the 30s! Looks like it was designed to be reminiscent of an old historical flask. I wonder how many people in 1932 would have even known what a historical flask was.

They probably had an idea about historical items, but those days were quite utilitarian considering they were in the midst of the Great Depression. Whomever had this bottle full of olive oil had to be doing okay.

I remember digging one of those in a Privy or maybe it was a cyder block lined trash pit from the 20's & 30's? it did have a 1915 Detroit Coke in it which is a tough bottle. I was excited when I dug mine until I seen the screw top & 1932 Date. LEON.
