I recently bought this nice German stoneware pitcher.

The only sort of lettering I see on it is a 7

I almost bought this pitcher/jug at the store, but it had a nasty chip on the inside:

From what I can gather from articles online, the type of Stoneware/pottery of the first pitcher is called Westerwald

I don't know much about stoneware to confirm the age, but this is supposedly a turn of the century era piece.

So I guess....I buy pottery now?

ugh. what....is....happening....to....meeeee.....

Your interest in pottery has morphed from the onset of an unexpected pathology into an incurable obsession! LoL :)
