I found this glass shards it is aqua colored and oddly whittled on one side. I believe this to be the inside. The outside is smooth. Was this an old carboy? I think this is a piece of a good one but not sure. Looks free blown. It is 1/4 inch on one side and almost a half inch on the other so it varies in thickness. There is more pieces of this glass in the area i was in. Is this a good sign to look more? Thanks for any ideas you might have.

If the rest of the fragments are smaller, it s probably a lost cause. There were areas where trash/glass was crushed before it was dumped. Have you probed to see the depth of the dump?

It goes but spotty as far as age. I found 3 areas/spots that produce pre 1900. Other stuff right by can be 1930's. This is where I hit the Rikers and wildroot. Thanks for the reply and advice. I will post anything I get.

To me that looks maybe burned over...

No sign of any burning it any of this area if it is it was probably an isolated fire like a campfire? There is more of this glass but no pieces as big as this one. All had this crazy wrinkles on the concave side. The convex side is smooth. I see what your saying though. Thanks for the reply.
