Wow what a great day i had Saturday i went to walk a dump i dig but couldn't get across creek due to large amounts of rain past couple weeks. The first bottle i Bought was a Dr Pepper thief reproduction bottle but still a great find. Next i went to a antique shop that i had bought some bottles at before. As i was leaving i was talking to owner and said i had bought some bottles before saw some i like but had to much damage for the price. He said i got some here i haven't priced yet. After seeing a recent thread about the hobble skirt bottle embossed on the coke soda water bottle i was shocked to find one from Dallas Texas. the next shop i went to in search of bottle labels that i had been told about but unable to find shop on a prior trip. This time i found it and asked about labels guy said he would have to dig them out and while i was waiting i looked around. this is a shop i would not normally shop because it is higher end furniture and European imports. While i was waiting on owner to do what he had to do i looked around saw English bottles and other stuff. I came across a few Empire Dallas Tx bottles but knew a lot had been dug a few years back. i passed on them because fig one day i would find them cheaper. i picked up about 10 of them scattered around and was getting disappointed that it was only bottle he seemed to have that was American. The last 2 bottles i picked up almost brought a tear to my eye i was so excited. My heart was beating fast when i saw the King of beverage Dr Pepper in great condition other than staining on the inside of bottle. I have been able to acquire 2 other ones in past 20 years but so badly damaged but they were what they were. The other was a Hughes Bro with nice embossing of a wwoman on it. It did have a hit but still nicest ive come across.
