Depression glass has a fluorescent quality about it, (Uranium Glass). Under U.V. light. I thought it would make a great cabochon for a ring. I think I was right. Light green jade looking in the day light. When light passes through it shows a wood like grain in the glass. The best is with ultra violet light, glows a hot green. Green lantern like! I made it from a piece of broken handle. Hope you all enjoy!

I don't believe that the terms "Uranium Glass" and "Depression Glass" are interchangeable even though some specific colours of Depression Glass do fluoresce under UV light. .......and then there's "Vaseline Glass" just to confuse things further.
