id pepsi ever use green glass bottles or is this just a label glued on a green bottle ?

Yes they did, but not on a green bottle in that form if memory serves... I've always seen them like this.

The thing about Pepsi bottling is that up until the late 30s-40's there was no standard bottle. In the 30's the remaining bottlers mainly used recycled beer bottles (green, brown, clear) and there were many different shapes used. The bottlers put the Pepsi paper label on them. It really just depended on what was available.

Now that particular bottle, you'd have to do more back checking on what bottles were available to Dossin's. Also, that style of label is a later paper label time period and would more likely be on one of the standard bottles....however, Dossin's was known to do things different.

I wouldn't say it's fake due to the bottle, but I would almost say it's fake based on the label. It looks too clean and purposely torn, but I may be wrong...hard to tell.
