Here's a cool little crude jar-

3 1/2 in. tall, 2 in. wide, milk glass, has "100 MG" on base. Has lots of swirls in the glass.
Ground lip (I think, it has a very rough, ground feel to it), which, sadly, is chipped. The seam goes up to the top (do seams on ground lip jars go up to the top??) The base is very crude, and is very "bumpy". The jar is a LOT cruder than it appears in the scan.

Is this jar english or canadian? how old is it? is it pre-1900? what did it hold? I'll appreciate any info.
