Apparently the H.W. Spurr & Co of Boston was a merchant who sold many products. I was able to find reference the H.W. Spurr & Co dealing in tobacco, seafoods, molasses and extracts, and several references to the H.W. Spurr Coffee Co. H.W. apparently referred to Howard W Spurr, the owner. Here is a link to a Paul Revere Album published by the H.W. Spurr Coffee Co in 1899, with plenty of ads for the company. Neat bottle!
