Half pint Borden's

Here is a small pin striped Borden's. Embossed B 28 on the base and BB 48 on the heel. 1928 would be the year. Not 1948. Scratches and a chip on the lip and base but still I don't get too many half pints.

In 1885, the company pioneered the use of glass milk bottles. Would like to see that 1885 bottle.

I think BB 48 means it was manufactured by Owens Illinois.

Actually it stands for Berney-Bond Glass (1905-1930) bought by Owen-Illinois in 1930.

I'll get my milks together and post , I'm sure I have couple Bordens.I have one and it's from someone who had a little bit of money, has his name and address on it. Probably means it's rare to only that person.

I love it ... I was waking the tracks near my house and found 4 broken ones sticking out the side of a hill and I found 2 whole whole colbalt blue inks
