I love it!

With the price of candy more than double this year, thanks to Brandonomics, this incentivizes homeowners to decorate their houses as scarily as possible so little children turn away in fear, thus more precious candy is kept in the hands of the homeowner.

One way I use to scare the trick-or-treaters was with a fog machine cleverly hidden in a bush by the front door. When the kids rang the bell I would actuate the fog machine which would make this scary hiss like an angry cat before dousing them all in fog. It evoked screams of terror every time and children would dart off in all directions in fear. I would still give them candy of course once the air cleared and they scurried back.

The really scary thing is that they probably all have undug privies! LOL

Yeah, That was constantly on my mind the whole time. Lots of the Houses would have a Historical Plate near Porch that showed actual Date house was Built. You can see one in my Pic that shows a 1871 Date on or near Porch. I looked for one on every House, Oldest one I found was 1850, some 1860's & later. LEON.

I believe the Victorians better lend them selves to Halloween decoration than the Federals, Colonials, and even the Greek Revivals. I do admire the spirit of the inhabitants who rose to the occasion. Happy Botoleen All!

I'm glad they only smash pumpkins on Halloween instead of bottles! LOL
