Bought this ink at an auction lately to add to my collection. Couldn't find it on ebay. Was wondering what rarity & worth. Has a smooth base. Thanks for any help, Don

Re: Harrison's igloo / turtle ink

pic won't load. It has an octagon shape with the top offset like a igloo ink.

Don't blame me if these numbers are not correct. With no additional information I am giving you prices realized from 2 sold with the Watt White collection back in 1996 - 97. $375 & $500. Cobalt or Sapphire or Peacock blue. Jim

Assuming no damage, they seem to run in the $375 range, if they are aqua. I don't know that I've seen them in any other color. Jim G

i ASSUME THIS THREAD CONTINUES THE ONE PICTURED. It always blows my mind to see a bottle where the neck is off set from the center of what is being made. When thi8s condition exists in the bottle to be made the parison form that provdes the distribution of the correct amount of glass distribution in the final blow. This means that the parison is laid in the open mold with the neck being where the final blow air comes from - to blow the glass in proper distribution for the final product. It is a hell of a problem if the parison glass settles from the heat, while laying on it's side. If it settles enough to touch the bottom glass it will lift a spike of glass into what one might call a vertical bird swing. The Avon bottles gave us a Heck of a lot of problems. REDMatthews
