Hazel-Atlas - What do the numbers mean?

Trying to date this LePage’s Mucilage bottle. I believe the L on the bottom indicates Lancaster. What about the 3-8? Any way to date this?

They're probably just mold numbers and don't really mean anything to anyone outside the factory. For that sort of thing I'd usually refer to it as "50s-60s or so" since it's hard to narrow it down beyond that without a date code.
