Heinz Horseradish ?

I am thinking this is a Heinz Horseradish bottle from 1869-1875 ?

Before HJ Heinz started in 1875

I have a bunch of other old 8 sided and odd shaped all marked HJ Heinz Co

That's what I call them. I like their shape. I have 142 and 143 I think.

The lip finish appears to be TOC20.

Assuming it is BIM (which it looks like it is) I'd say it dates most likely to 1880s-1890s. It just doesn't have the characteristics of a heinz that is older or newer than that. The older ones are usually embossed Heinz and Noble and the newer varieties are noticeably machine made or late BIM and usually say H.J. Heinz Co. I can also see yours has some kind of imperfection on the base.

Usually heinz bottles have code numbers that can be matched to what was inside the bottle. Does yours have this? Also I've never seen a heinz of this particular base embossing before.

It has no numbers , just the one word Heinz

I read that Heinz operated a Horseradish company from 1869-1875 and then closed and re-opened in 1876 as HJ Heinz.

I have some 8 sided HJ Heinz and other shapes with HJHeinz. and numbers.

This is the only one with just the word Heinz

I figure this is from :the 1869-1875 time Heinz Horseradish Co. before the HJ Heinz Co
