I live in a home built in 1860 and during landscaping changes I have found numerous bottles and other items. I've been able to identify most all of them, and so farm they all date well prior to 1890. I have found MANY Ed Pinaud bottles online, but I have been unable to find this particular one, which makes dating it impossible. I would be grateful for any help you can provide.

Details: Dimensions 3 ¾ X 1 5/8 -5/8. Main surface decorated with embossed basket filled with flowers & branches, below which is an embossed circle that clearly once framed a label. Around the shoulder of the bottle is embossed "Ed Pinaud . Paris." The bottom is embossed with the signature of Ed Pinaud. The stopper looks to be spherical glass and looks to be firmly fused in place. There is about ½“ of a purple-reddish fluid inside the bottle, and the bottle appears to have a very, very light lavender color, but that may be from the fluid staining the inside of the bottle.

the business ran (still runs) for a VERY long time. If this was an American bottle, I would put it mid-1880s to about 1910. It's not automatic bottle machine. But European bottles are often hand blown but newer than the common use of abm. They seemed to hang onto the older way of making bottles longer than we did here.

If that is supposed to be “Bouquet de l’Exposition” on the bottle that happened for a 1900 Paris exposition.

Funny - I found this grouping of bottles about 6 months ago - it includes a Pinaud with a glass stopper firmly wedged into place, and some red liquid still inside! It's the one on the right.
