Help identifying! Is this a Japanese Poison Bottle?

I found this while beachcombing a while back and I’ve had no luck identifying it.

there is a skull and crossbones on the neck
foreign writing possibly kanji or Chinese characters on the reverse

the bottom has 3 interlocked egg shaped ovals

Pretty good bet that it's a poison bottle, I can't identify the language though unfortunately.
