Help with identification

Hello! Can someone help me date this bottle? I found only the top half under my house, just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. I feel like it was put there when the house was built. It was hard to get pics, but it has a textured surface and a repeating ring of diamonds with the word NATIONAL in the center, around the shoulder. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I’m not familiar with Alabama bottles but it looks around 1900-1910, and there may be more, it was common practice in the south to throw bottles under the house. Would be helpful if you knew when your house was built as well, county assessor will often have the info.

Thanks! There could be. The area this was found was really hard to access. I didn't see any others while the floorboards were out. The assessor's files only go back to 1944 when it was sold by the local plant who built it. The plant has changed hands several times, so build records are long lost.

That's definitely a soda bottle, but I'd estimate it to be a bit newer, 1920's-40's era. The lip looks machine made and the dimple texturing is something I've seen on bottles from that period to give it a "frosty" look. I was hoping to find a photo of an intact example of your bottle just going off of the shoulder embossing but had no luck. Perhaps there's an intact example hiding somewhere under those boards!
