The glass German marbles from the same period are more collectible so I'd keep looking. Especially after a heavy rain

Oh we will!! Just the sheer amount we found this year, without looking very hard or long (mainly because it's hot as Satan's sauna down here)

Thanks so that's clay?? Cuz it looks and feels like glass?
I have a couple clay one also and yes they do look and feel like glass

Any glazed clay marbles (Benningtons) that touched each other when fired develop the eye. Fired in a pile this was common on these types.
