No, they come out of the ground in pretty rough shape. I have a cleaning meathod that seems to work very good. I use a combination of oxyclean, bleach and warm water, I then use lead BB's and swirl them around in the bottle....it eats the dirt and rust right of the glass. If the bottle is stained, I use a product called Lime Away and a bottle brush to get the filmy stains out of the bottle....It takes some time, but the glass comes out sparkling!

Very nice, even more so if you hand clean them[:-]. Must take a lot of time and effort. Is that a Kirklands ink in the foreground (igloo shaped)????
