I don't think I've ever seen one of these with a lid before, not one in nice condition like that anyway. These were bootleggers' bottles when you find them in the US, they were smuggled across the river into Detroit from the distillery in Windsor during Prohibition. They're common in Canada too, but lack the historical interest of the ones that you find in the US.

I love the 50’s whiskeys and wine with the cool designs. I have a dump that I dig a lot out off. I have more than the ones pictured, but these are the coolest ones

I just got the notification that you replied! I have been to that distillery as a wedding guest and my ex husband is from Windsor, so I was familiar with the name and brand but not that it was prohibition era or a nicer piece for the top in this condition. Thank you for the information! Really excited to tell my kiddos!
