He everybody...

I know I've posted individual photos of these flasks before, but not a group photo.
These flasks were all found in the same general vicinity. The double Eagle and the 1/2 pint Cornucopia were found about 15 to 20 feet apart, but the Eagle was found three years ago and the 1/2 pint Cornucopia was found a few weeks ago. [8D]

Funny thing is, that I scowered this area after first finding the Douple Eagle and this Cornucopia was not visible.
So, it proves that underwater, new things can get turned over after a period of time. Specially when the area has a strong current running through it.[8|]

The Pint Cornucopia/Urn was found about 150' away from the two half pints. It was found about a year and a half ago. Pretty neat huh?[;)]

I've also found some nice Stoddard seam side flasks, Patent flasks and others in the general area.
Enjoy!

Great finds! I bet theres more to be found! Does the stuff underwater get moved around more during a big storm? Thats what I meant.

Nice flasks! I am thinking of a few fishermen getting a big buzz on while fishing, tossing the flasks over board.
Makes me wanna Dive................In to a privy! haha[8D]

PhilaBottles...

Hey Matt, not so much after a storm, just after a lengthy period of time I guess. The current seems to brush the bottom and continually roll the bottom over exposing new stuff year after year. It's a funny thing...[8|] I know after I found that Double Eagle several years ago, I absolutely scowered the immediate area. As a matter of fact, I was working on the very same mooring, two years later (cleaning/inspecting) when I found the 1/2 pint Cornucopia... the exact same mooring where I found the Double Eagle nearly the same location... go figure...[:-] I know it was something that washed up to the surface after a period of time.

So... knowing this, I am planning on turning over the bottom near this location in a systematic manner, using some underwater tools and I will try to get down a foot or two ... kinda like cultivating a field... turning stuff over. Probably in 10' x 10' sections. I know it's a good spot and I have it zeroed in on my dive boat GPS.[;)]

Hey Matt, I can do better than that!!! Instead of the GPS numbers, I can show you exactly where I found them!!!
