Hey guys, I know this is not much to go on and is a real shot in the dark, but I am trying to find the complete catalog, book, story or whatever this is. I was just hoping maybe one of yall has seen this and remembers it. Thanks for looking, Kelley

I screwed the pooch big time by not buying the USA Hospital Dept. with full perfect label...Medicinal Sherry Wine....What an idiot...

The cobalt and citron bottles in the pic must be worth a mint...

Thanks Woody, I'll try to check into AB & G and see if I can come up with something. A friend of mine got that pic off the net somewhere and can't remember where, and he and I would both like to have a copy of the whole article. Thanks again, Kelley

PS. Hey oldtimer, we've all screwed the pooch from time to time but these bottles will only get better with age. Everybody otta have at least 1! [;)] Smoke

It also looks like it may have come from one of the auction catalogs, too.
Either Hecklers, Glassworks, Skinners, etc........
I'll try looking in some of my AB&GC mags for you to see if it's from there.
Nice write up in Braceface on your bottles, also.

Thanks Woody, I appreciate all the help. I've followed Glassworks for many years and can't remember it , but that's not saying anything! lol! Haven't checked Hecklers yet and not familiar with Skinners. I'll poke around there too.

Dr. Echols has a very nice and extensive web site on Civil War medical artifacts and I was more than happy to share my Hosp. bottles with him. He is currently amassing a bottle collection of his own and doing a damn fine job of it too![:D] Kelley

Kelley, that is an article in ABGC mag from about three or four years ago. I posted it on here showing a couple shards I found - I'll try and check what issue it was.

If you find that article and photo would it be possible to get a scan of the photo? Please let me know too.

Kelley,
I found the article you were looking for.
It is in the May, 2005 issue of Antique Bottle & Glass Collector magazine.
PM me your mailing address and I'll send you the magazine.
Oh, by the way, the article was written by Mike Russell. It originally appeared in the June, 1989 issue of A.B.& G.C.
