Yesterday's dives produced this oddity - has anyone ever seen one like this?

Methinks it's some type of sauce or salad oil bottle.

That 3rd # is a '9'. ( obscured by an air bubble ).

That's a dandy. I've never seen that particular pattern previously that I can remember.

Does it feature a tooled lip?

Your photo makes me realize that I haven't seen much in the way of pepper sauce bottles posted for a while. Time was when they seemed quite the rage.

Looks like a machine-made lip, as a half-vertical seam runs up to the top - is that a definite sign in sauce bottles? Reminds me of the lip finishes on a lot of black glass bottles I've found / seen.

Update: Tis' a "Goldfields Pepper Sauce Condiment" bottle, circa ??.

I was thinking lime cordial, the shape and the lip remind me a lot of those L. Rose & Co bottles.
