Well, I had another shot at that spot. Same story as before, dozens and dozens of pulverized blobtops, hutches Gravs and Codds. Found these two protected together against a large stone. This must have been a back door dump of a town pub or something because nearly 98% of the deposit is beer related bottles. I also found maybe a dozen headless bottles that would have been great. One was a big quart sized Weiss bier fro Cold Spring NY. I saved it even though it was all beat up and headless...[attachment=IMG_5900.JPG]

Found these 1950s beer cans where they knocked down a cinder block wall on the site as well. Nothing too special, they are all pretty shot, but I grabbed them anyway...

To bad the beer cans are common & not the best shape. They did make some rare New York cans in the 50's though. If the Fitzgerald was a Bock it would be worth big bucks. LEON.

...and finally I found this canning jar lid. Anyone have any info on this one?
The glass lid looks like it belongs on "THE PEARL" fruit jar. Red Book 10 # 2318.

I will be visiting this site every time I'm in this town. I don't have any idea how long it will be accessible, so I'll have my fingers crossed each time. Unfortunately I'm never there during the work week. From my first encounter with the equipment operator in charge of the job I got the impression that this guy might actually sink the bucket of the excavator into that spot if I happened to catch him working the site. I know there is more there.
