I have been shining and polishing this bottle for 3 days and didn’t see this- do I have it repaired or try to wing it myself? I thought this was a drool from applied lip, but caught a glimpse of light thru it the other night. Then I blew thru the bottle and it leaked, so it was confirmed. Its just that hard to see. I even took close up shots of that lip, during those 3 days, but still had no idea it was all the way thru the glass. I still can’t help but think it’s a lip issue that broke thru, so slightly. If I did this myself I’m going to need lots of advice on what would be best to use? It should be a pretty easy fix, with the inside taped closed , and on its side pour a little bit of resin, just to fill it in?

So many huge bubbles and junk in the glass... whittle marks? this one is so primitive, I’m guessing around 1875-1885? Correct me if I guessed wrong? And it has dark amber to red amber to yellow amber, on up, with splotches of color too. Maybe someone was just learning? Or overindulged on the bitters, nite before....

They are not rare or even uncommon, so I wouldn't bother repairing...just hang on to it as a nice specimen until a perfect one comes along. Probably 1880's; these are hard to date as I have dug some ancient looking ones in fairly new holes.

Thank you! Sounds like good advise.
