Ideal Sarsaparilla Waxahachie, Texas

I just picked up this Sarsaparilla bottle from Waxahachie, Tx and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about rarity or value. It isn't embossed, but it has four panels, each with a paper label. It's a light aqua color and BIM. Produced by the Waxahachie Medicine Company. It has a nice picture of an angel bringing down a bottle from the sky on the front panel. All I can contribute is general and that is: unembossed, labeled bottles are generally of interest only to specialty collectors which limits the interests and narrows the value range. If there is competition, such as a well advertised auction, the price may climb pretty well. That one has going for it: Sarsaparilla, Waxahachie, Texas, Medicine and perhaps a few others. The key is getting it before the largest audience possible.

That's a great looking bottle! I found a reference indicating that it was incorporated in 1911 with 25,000.00 capital but don't know if it was in operation beforehand. I like labeled meds, thanks for sharing.

Joke aside, I love good art on a labeled bottle, embossing or not.
I'd pay at least $50 bucks for it without a second thought. And more possibly with a second thought.
