Today was a good day considering I had to get through more bricks, spark plugs, engine valves, transmission gears and broken glass to get my paltry finds, but I'll take it any day. I pulled out about a 2 dozen whole bottles... all utility jars and small perfumes except for the two below. A local slug plated, applied top soda and a local quart milk. Pics don't accurately show the size of the pit. But the excavation so far is in the 3' deep range and the pit itself is about 20' in diameter. Probing the pit, I still have about 2' more to excavate. Not easy with a reconstructed shoulder and a knee replacement. But as you all know, bottle hunting and digging is an obsession. The way I see it , as long as I can walk and do some digging, no matter how much I can do, I'll be out there moving some earth.
