119. "BROWN’S / CELEBRATED / INDIAN HERB BITTERS - PATENTED / FEB. 11 / 1868", (B-226), American, ca. 1868 - 1875, clear glass with amethyst tone Indian Queen, 12 1/8"h, smooth base, sheared and ground lip. A minor in manufacturing 1/4" by 3/16" chip off the side of the lip occurred when the lip was ground. Some light inside stain, (possibly dried contents) exists. You are bidding on what is probably the rarest of all the Indian Queen bottles. It is one of possibly only three known examples in this coloration. Of the three, (and we’ve sold all of them), this one has the most pinkish color, enough so that depending on what light you view it in gives it a rainbow appearance. The ground lip appears to have been purposely pinched in on both sides to create a slight pouring spout. This is a new find to the market, recently discovered at a tag sale in the Seattle, Washington area. You won’t believe what it sold for, we sure didn’t!
**for sure, I'll never get one of these...[&:]
