Hi Squirrel, welcome to the forum. I'm a new insulator collector so if I am wrong anybody please feel free to correct me.
I see two numbers for your insulator and I think it's a CD 188 - 010. Aqua, Dark Aqua, light aqua $10-15. Light blue, $20-30.
If it's a CD 187 - 010 the prices are comparable.
Anyway, nice insulator. Thanks for sharing the pic with us. Tell us something about what you collect yourself or what you are looking for. Best regards. Paul
That style of insulator is a "mine" insulator. They used those styles that had the pin hole go all the way through in mine applications. Similar to a spool, but they are still threaded.
Thank you Idigjars and Insulators Rule for your info!
That's very cool about being used in the mines.
I'm not really a collector, more an accumulator. We have some
bottles, Lightening jars and just 4 insulators that we'd like to
sell. Probably $l. apiece, except this CD 188-010 insulator (light aqua) for approx. $10.
If anyone wants this whole lot, just speak up! I can email pictures.
Although it does make more sense to sell them locally because of cost of shipping.
I live in southern Maine.
